Hagar is set to tackle East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala., on Friday and Saturday. It will be his first trip to the track since winning in June 2014.

“I love racing in Phenix City,” he said. “I got my first winged sprint car feature win there and we’ve been very successful every time we’ve gone back.”

Hagar’s first career win came in June 2007. He also picked up wins at the 3/8-mile oval in June 2012 and June 2013 before his most recent triumph.

“Some tracks just suit your style and we’ve always felt comfortable there,” he said. “It’s a confidence boost to go to a track where you have a great history.”

Hagar has earned eight feature victories this season, including three with the USCS Series. He is also coming off his second USCS Speedweek championship in the last three years and has posted a podium finish during all eight USCS races he’s competed in this season.

Hagar enters this weekend with 13 podiums in his last 14 features.
