For the first time since 2014, the Dead-A-Head Motorsports team will be bringing the Racer X machine to the racetrack. The team will be competing in the USCS Florida State Sprint Car Championship this Friday and Saturday night at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL.
The team is excited to be back in the comfort of their own equipment. With J&J Chassis, Wesmar Engines, DMI Components and Kreitz Oval Track Parts helping the effort driver Dan Mazy has high hopes for this weekend.
"Hopefully we can keep it all straight and put it in the trailer the same way it rolled out all weekend long, and maybe even make some moves out there!" - Dan Mazy
The 29-year old 10-year racer hasn't been in the seat of a winged sprint car in over three years and has actually been "burning laps" on the popular IRacing sprint car simulator to knock off some of the rust.
Dan, a native of Kutztown, PA and former URC rookie of the year, now lives in Jacksonville, FL and only has a few opportunities throughout the year to go racing. The team has been working hard to get things rebuilt freshened up and ready for the racetrack and the race weekend is almost here.
Dan would like to help everyone who has been a part of this return to the racetrack from his family to friends, and suppliers. The team would also like to give special thanks to the promotion from the guys at #OpenRed. OpenRed is the official podcast of the World of Outlaws, and the Dead-A-Head Motorsports team will be sporting the OpenRed logo on the nose wing this weekend.
