Inside Line Promotions – GERMANTOWN, Tenn. (Oct. 25, 2018) – Sammy Swindell will likely wrap up his season this Saturday at Riverside International Speedway.

Swindell is invading the quarter-mile oval for twin features during a USCS Series event that was postponed earlier this month because of weather. He and car owner A.G. Rains were victorious at the track in July.

“We’ll have our work cut out for us because we didn’t have a great heat race run when the event started a couple of weeks ago,” Swindell said. “We started at the back of a tough heat on a track where there wasn’t a lot of passing. We made up some ground, but that doesn’t put us in a great position to start the first main event this Saturday. However, I’m confident in the car and we’ve moved through the field before so we’ll do our best and see what happens.”

Swindell was scheduled to conclude the season next week during the World of Outlaws World Finals hosted by The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C.

“Unfortunately, the Thone Motorsports team has work commitments so they’re unable to make it that weekend,” he said. “I am open to an opportunity with a team that can be a contender.”

Swindell won the inaugural World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series race at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in May 2000 and he also visited Victory Lane there in 2012.
