Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (May 21, 2019) – Derek Hagar is eager to get behind the wheel during the USCS Speedweek, which features four straight nights of racing this week.

Rain washed out the Hooker Hood Classic, which he was supposed to run last Saturday. It’s the latest rain out that has kept Hagar from racing.

“I was really anxious to race last weekend,” he said. “The weather was looking good and it was going to be a great race. A storm popped up unexpectedly and they had to cancel it.”

Hagar has four chances to get to Victory Lane this weekend. He will be at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Miss., on Friday to kick off Speedweek. Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., hosts Round 2 on Saturday. Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg, Ark., showcases Sunday’s event before a race on Monday at Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, Tenn.

Old No. 1 Speedway is the only one that Hagar hasn’t won at out of those four tracks. He’s hoping to break that this weekend.

“I think we’ve got a pretty good chance to pull off some good finishes this weekend,” he said. “We’ve had really good results at most of these tracks and I’m looking forward to getting back to Harrisburg to see what we can do.”
