Inside Line Promotions – CHATHAM, La. (Oct. 22, 2019) – Channin Tankersley scored a pair of top 10s during a USCS Series doubleheader at Chatham Speedway last weekend.

The Old School Racing driver began the action on Friday by winning a heat race from the second starting position. He capped the night by recording an eighth-place run in the main event, which was his 10th top 10 of the year.

“We were a little off on Night 1,” he said. “We were too snug to run the bottom and that’s pretty much where the best line was. We made some improvements from Friday to Saturday and that’s always a plus.”

Tankersley finished second in a heat race on Saturday. That lined him up on the outside of the fifth row for the A Main.

“We were pretty good in the A Main, but starting 10th with that caliber of guys it’s hard to drive up through the field,” he said. “We got better as the race went on.”

Tankersley advanced to a fifth-place showing. It was his ninth top five in 15 races this year.

He is slated to finish the season Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Fort Worth, Texas, during the Tony Stewart presents the VANKOR Texas Sprint Car Nationals with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
