Todd Gracey wins USCS 25th season opener at Hendry County on Friday night

Clewiston, FL – February 5, 2021 – Pennsylvania’s Todd Gracey passed early race-leader and 13-year-old rookie sprint car driver, Brent Crews from Denver, NC at the races mid-point to hold off another hard-charging Pennsylvanian Mark Smith from Sunbury, PA to win the 25th Anniversary and 2021 United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint car season opener at Hendry County Motorsports Park during the USCS Snow Free Winter Nationals on Friday night. The 2020 USCS Southern Thunder Tour region Champion and 2020 USCS Rookie of the Year, 16-year-old Connor Leoffler from Myrtle Beach, SC chased the two veteran sprint car racers across the finish line in third place.

Midwest veteran and Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Danny Smith from Chillicothe, Ohio followed the trio to the line in fourth place. 14-year-old young gun, Ryan Timms from Oklahoma City, OK started 11th and charged into fifth place at the finish to complete the top five.

In qualifying heat race action, Connor Leoffler won the Engler First Heat. Ohioan Phil Gressman won the B.M.R.S. Second Heat and Mark Smith closed out the action by winning the JJ Supply of NC Third Heat. Sussex New Jersey’s Davie Franek advanced eleven positions in the main event to garner the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger Award. Brent Crews picked up the K&N Filters Pole Award.
